Food Recovery and More

Grace Lutheran Church has a mission to live and work to serve others through God's abundant love. We also have a deep history with food ministries, as home of the hotdish and a place where people have been fed for generations, we continue to live out this piece of our heritage through service to others. 

For the past few years, Grace has been preparing meals for anyone who is hungry, and distributing them to freezers placed at key community partner locations such as the Connections Homeless Shelter, Partners for Housing, FOCP, and MY Place, where anyone who is hungry can grab a free meal, ready to heat and eat. 

More than 10,000 meals

Together, we made and served more than 10,000 meals in 2024, and we continue to serve our neighbors through this ministry today. You can help too! We make burritos, banana bread, hotdish, and more together using both food recovered that would have been wasted, and newly purchased and donated foods.  Sign up below for more info and to be included in our contact list for the next meal prep day.
